Denmark definitely seems like the place to be, it’s supposed to be the happiest country in the world. I think there are many factors that play into it. One thing that I think helps is they have free healthcare. It is important for everyone to stay healthy, and receive medical attention when needed. Healthcare is very expensive and someone can’t afford to pay for it, people struggle with the issue of not having healthcare, and are sick and in need. In Denmark they don’t have this issue, everyone can go receive the care they need providing a healthier happier atmosphere. The free healthcare is just the base to it. Denmark also strongly supports parents, spending time with your baby and children are crucial. In Denmark women are given a ten week maternity leave and fathers are given three weeks. In America most men don’t give maternity leave unless a specific company grants it. Another thing Denmark provides is “community” living. Many families or people live together and do things as a whole. This takes away a lot of stress on peoples everyday lives.

One app that I think is totally outrageous and unnecessary is the Invisible boyfriend and girlfriend app. Technology is advancing every day, it’s good and bad, but in some cases it can be just plain weird. This app is an app where you receive a set number of texts and pictures from a non-existent person. For someone to be interested in this app seems pretty desperate. Someone must really seek attention really bad for them to even want to participate in this app. What’s even worse is that, this app costs money. I don’t see why someone would spend a dollar on this. It is harmless but it’s just very unusual and I don’t see how someone ever even came up with this idea for an app.

In August some of the struggles I had was structuring my essays. I still sometimes take a little time figuring it out but these two research essays have helped me be better in this area. Also finding good sources before was hard. Now I have a better grasp for find reliable information.  In the future I definitely think I will be able to tackle writing assignments easier, and with more confidence. I think technology and happiness were perfect topics for this semester. Those two topic are really important for people to research and think about in depth. I think the positives about using a blog in this class, it was a great way to get us thinking in the beginning of class. The negatives of the blog were sometimes thing don’t come to mind on certain topics and may take a few minutes to blog. I think everything worked great for both comp 1 and 2. I enjoyed them both. Topics were interesting, and applied to everyday life.
