Blog Post 11

Denmark definitely seems like the place to be, it’s supposed to be the happiest country in the world. I think there are many factors that play into it. One thing that I think helps is they have free healthcare. It is important for everyone to stay healthy, and receive medical attention when needed. Healthcare is very expensive and someone can’t afford to pay for it, people struggle with the issue of not having healthcare, and are sick and in need. In Denmark they don’t have this issue, everyone can go receive the care they need providing a healthier happier atmosphere. The free healthcare is just the base to it. Denmark also strongly supports parents, spending time with your baby and children are crucial. In Denmark women are given a ten week maternity leave and fathers are given three weeks. In America most men don’t give maternity leave unless a specific company grants it. Another thing Denmark provides is “community” living. Many families or people live together and do things as a whole. This takes away a lot of stress on peoples everyday lives.
